Coming Soon: Structural Model of a 4-Dimensional Multidimensional Hypercone

By John Post

Soon, a structural model of a 4-Dimensional multidimensional hypercone will appear here. This model represents a combined projection structure, combining the cone projection along the w-axis with the cone projection along the z-axis into a single, unified form.

The model is designed to physically express spatial relationships found in four-dimensional projection space. It will be constructed from solid materials such as metal, as a non-static, physical object. This allows the combined projection structure to be viewed and explored from all sides.

A static digital version of the structural model is already presented below. Although fixed in form, it contains all essential aspects of the combined hypercone projection.

The design is based on scientific studies listed below, which form the basis for the structural representation.

Scientific References

The structural model is related to the following publicly available scientific articles:

1. The Observable Structure of 4-Dimensional Perspective Cone Projection (Isolated Cones)

2. Experiment: 4-Dimensional Perspective Projection (Isolated)

3. Tabletop Experiment: 4-Dimensional Perspective Cone Projection (isolated cones)

Projection Technology Application

The technological application is based specifically on the isolated 4-Dimensional cone projection on the w-axis, not the combined structure. This projection is used in immersive environments involving video projection and holographic effects.

To explore this application, visit the AR Hologram page on this website. There you'll find concepts for creating visually compelling projection experiences using isolated 4D cone projections—designed to produce a distinct and spatially engaging visual effect.

Physical Model and Availability

The structural model will be produced as a single, original physical object, available for acquisition by a museum or private collector.

Miniature reproductions of the model may also be developed for use in museum shops or educational contexts. Licensing opportunities are available for both the structural model and the digital drawing, suitable for applications such as merchandise, educational materials, or collectibles.

Proposals for collaboration or distribution are welcome.

The design rights for strong commercial use of the drawing — for example, to produce miniature sculptures — of the Combined Multidimensional 4-Dimensional Hypercone, which combines the w-axis and z-axis cone projections, are copyright protected. These rights are officially registered at the BOIP (Benelux Office for Intellectual Property) and are publicly available under i-DEPOT number 150745.

There is a fair use exception that allows certain use of the drawing without permission from the author. Specifically, teachers, scientists, and recognized scientific institutions such as universities are permitted to copy the drawing, publicly display it, and create variations of it. These uses are allowed for the purpose of informing and educating the public, and for further scientific development within the academic and research community.
