The OcularRing — specially developed for this purpose — is designed firstly to significantly reduce a wide range of neuro-visual complaints for your microscope users, such as eye strain and visual fatigue caused by the microscope, and secondly to optimize 3D image processing to provide a better balanced and more complete 3D view than they are currently used to. The full list of benefits is provided below.

The OcularRing optical instrument for microscope use can be applied both preventatively and as a solution for neuro-visual stress discomfort during microscopy. By reducing fusion-related neuro-visual stress, the OcularRing can help minimize microscope user downtime and support more productive planned working hours and prolonged microscopy sessions.

Shown below is the OcularRing mounted on the eyepieces of a microscope. The OcularRing is an upgrade for binocular microscopes that can be installed on microscope eyecups quickly and easily, without requiring modifications, and can be removed at any time.

Binocular fusion regulation adjustment is an essential third base settin— alongside interpupillary distance and focusing — that is completely missing as a built-in feature from all microscopes. With the OcularRing, we have developed this unique third base setting, bringing the fine-tuning of a Binocular Fusing-Unfusing Instrument to your existing microscopes and making it exclusively available through us.

The OcularRing is designed to be fully safe for the microscope and its optical system. We can customize the OcularRing to ensure a precise fit for your microscopes. This allows the microscope user to manually regulate fusion while viewing objects through the microscope by adjusting and fine-tuning the visual image overlap, adding first of all extra neuro-visual comfort, while also achieving greater visual precision during microscopy.

Should you prefer integration inside the microscope (for example, as a microscope manufacturer brand), such as placement behind the lenses, we would be pleased to discuss the available options.

The microscope's light transmission and full original field of view are preserved and maintained by the OcularRing and its underlying technology. We would be pleased to demonstrate and explain this in person.

Installation of the OcularRing on your microscopes can be handled by us worldwide, or be installed in consultation by an installer of your choice.

Enhanced Comfort

for the microscope user

during microscopy

The OcularRing

relieves symptoms of neuro-visual stress caused by microscopes for microscope users during microscopy, including:

· Eye strain / Visual fatigue

· Pressure on and around the eyes and forehead

· Sore eyes

· Dizziness or lightheadedness

· Nausea / Vertigo

· Motion sensitivity

· Jerky or unstable image

· Light sensitivity

· Headaches

· Double vision

· Difficulty focusing

· Blurred vision

· Concentration problems

· Reduced ability to judge depth

· Inadequate image overlap

· Incomplete and not optimally balanced vision

· Sensory overload

· Disorientation

· Neck pain, shoulder pain, and upper back tension

The OcularRing provides an additional feature by transforming the existing microscope to activate a bimonocular vision mode for fully unfusing the images, enabling full monocular vision while using both eyes simultaneously (establishing bimonocular vision as a third distinct type of basic vision alongside monocular and binocular vision). This Bimonocular Vision mode offers multiple advantages, including extra-long microscopy sessions without neuro-visual fusion stress, and provides proponents of monocular image processing with an approximately 30% wider monocular field of view compared to a standard monocular microscope.

In this video, we use binoculars as an example to show how we install the OcularRing on your microscopes. First, we place a rubber coupling over the eyecup and then place the OcularRing onto it, so the rubber holds the OcularRing in place.

Your microscope user sets up the microscope as usual. As a last step, the microscope user can perform an additional fusion fine-tuning with a simple sliding movement of a fingertip, using the mechanism inside the OcularRing.

Furthermore, the microscope user can quickly and efficiently remove the OcularRing themselves at any time; however, removal is not necessary, as the fusion fine-tuning can also simply be deactivated during microscopy.

Excecutive summary

The first usable microscope with correctly engineered Binocular Fusion Regulation.

The missing link in microscope settings is now available as a third base setting – alongside interpupillary distance and focus – resulting in optimized neuro-visual comfort for microscopists.

· With Mode 1 of the third setting: you perfect your binocular visual overlap.

· With Mode 2 of the third setting (3rd type of basic vision): you switch to Bimonocular Vision: you completely eliminate the binocular visual overlap for a more comfortable monocular image, as you will now see monocularly with both eyes open through both eyepieces.

Furthermore, this third setting is also available as an OcularRing add-on accessory to upgrade microscopes, without compromising your current microscope system or changing its type.

The OcularRing instrument can also be offered as an accessory by microscope manufacturers and distributors.

We invite strategic partnerships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), or entrepreneurs, or technology partners interested in utilizing the proprietary technology to develop a Binocular Fusing-Unfusing Microscope or to integrate the fusing-unfusing fusion regulation into microscope systems.
